So, this is how my mental image of the Month of March looks:

March 2nd - Birthday (actual)
March 3rd - Birthday (observed)
March 10th - Birthday (celebrated)

Two down and one more to go. Not the birthday week, but a birthday week and a bit. Not even a full birthday month, but that's okay with me.

Looking forward to the party, though at this point I don't know whether to be frightened or disappointed. I only have 11 people confirmed for showing up. I have 46 people who haven't even responded, and 21 who won't be making it. Okay, so how many will actually be showing up? Do I go and get more things to eat and drink, or since I did ask people to RSVP, assume that a few more than have responded will show, but not that many more?

I am getting a little stressed about it mainly because I ended up being broke this week, with unexpected car repairs this last weekend. Again. I have $9 in my bank account, so anything more for the party is going on the credit card. Bummer. But I will be having a good time. I have been printing out recipes and cocktail instructions, and things have been ordered and should be arriving in time, and things will be tasty. I just need to get started on it. Tomorrow night.

Let's see, more movies watched with Donnie Darko, the Director's Cut, and Primer, also a movie about time travel and a first time director at the helm. Both of them make it look so easy. Start with a good idea, make it interesting, and shoot away. Everyone can make a film, it would seem. The director of Primer composed the music, did the editing, did the visual effects (all three on his computer) wrote, directed and starred in his effort. Honestly, he made it sound so easy! He used locations he could borrow, and when he didn't get permission, he found other creative (or guerilla) ways to film what he wanted.

I won't be watching any more films until after Saturday's party, because I have things to do every night, like cook and clean and shop.

Anyway. That's the scoop for tonight. Onward and upward. Screening tonight of Smokin' Aces. Then a walk in the dark home, home, home.
