My jeans keep shrinking.

That may seem a bad thing, but the truth of the matter is, they are too big, so every time I wash them, they shrink some more, and fit better and better.

I put them on this morning, and sure enough, the waistband is almost touching my actual waist. This is a problem for the belt I keep wearing, because at this point, it isn't even cinching in the waist. It's more a place holder. There are not holes where they would actually bring my waist in. I need to punch some new holes into the belt, or get a new belt.

But at this rate, my jeans may actually fit me and my body before they wear out. Because of course, holes are wearing into them, holes no one can see yet, but isn't that the way it goes with jeans, the battle between when they wear out versus when they fit exactly right for your body in that well-worn, comfortable way? That's why I miss having a boyfriend with legs about the same length as myself. I loved stealing those boyfriend's jeans, because they were already so well worn in.

Anyway, that is the jeans report for the day. Don't you feel better knowing my jeans are now closer to actually fitting my body through shrink-washing them smaller? I know I am.
