The New Place Detail

Last night I went to see a show at The Wiltern, an Art Deco theatre that in the 1970s or 1980s barely escaped the wrecking ball.

It was Zappa plays Zappa, Dweezil and his band playing the tunes of his dad.

More to say about that later, but here was the neat thing:

I got in my car, drove to my new place from the Wiltern, and it took 10 minutes to get home. 10 minutes only. From engine turn on to engine turn off. It only took that long because I turned down a street that didn't connect to the one I thought it would, so I had to wait for a very long light with no traffic coming before I could make a left, and then had to circle around the block to find the primo parking spot. So figure it should have been seven minutes to get home.

Awesome. I love my new place's location.
