16 December 2007 - 8:46 pm New excitement in my life: I have a domain name registered to me. It is sarriah.com. Go ahead, go check it out. There is nothing there yet other than the name, but that empty domain site, it's mine. Like an empty lot surrounded by high rises in a busy city, so much potential. I have been drawing up plans for what I intend to do with it, so expect big changes here soon.* I intend to link all my different web activities to that one anchor, spinning in all directions from it. I may even change this blog address. It is so gratifying these days to type Sarriah into Google, and the first thing that pops up is me here! Let's not forget the sarriah on myspace, sarriah of World of Warcraft, those sarriahs too, but I am not them. I'm just going to make it more obvious where to find me in the vast reaches of the web galaxy. I even hope to start some small businesses, perfect for the web, because if they get super busy, I outsource the real work to elsewhere, seamlessly, and if they don't take off, there certainly wasn't a huge expenditure put into it to get it started. The cost of the domain name, primarily. I have ideas, more than one. I also will finally put up my photos, that have been accumulating and I haven't quite known what to do with, and thus why I will probably have to change the blog address, so I can add photos to my postings, like other blogs can. I even have thoughts of specific photo series I may have, pertinent to living in gritty Downtown LA. It's my Christmas present to myself, I decided. Along with a few other Christmas presents I have for myself, some of which were purchased for others that seem unlikely to receive them, so I guess I get to keep them. Christmas is looking up! *Soon: I paid for three years to begin with for that piece of empty real estate, so soon means sometime before those three years expire. Hey, I'm new to the technology, I don't know how to do many of the things I know I want to do. So patience. Christmas break is coming up soon, hopefully that will help get things going.
