16 December 2007 - 9:03 pm Since I am running about a month behind in my mental calendar, I figure it is time to give thanks. You know, like Thanksgiving. So, thank you loyal readers, all three of you that I know who you are. And you do know who you are, the one coming in from Syracuse, NY; Pasadena, CA; and from the vicinity of Vancouver, Canada. Only one of you regularly reads me from home, and not from your work IP address. This too I know. There's that additional mystery one using a linux system that comes through UUNET, thank you too for reading my blog. I wonder if I know you? Will you ever bother to tell me if I do know you, or will you just keep it a secret? Feel free to let me know, I actually do keep my audience in mind when writing, since there are so few regulars of you. Thank you to all who stumble across me from diaryland, and from the la blogs link. Thank you world, for giving us the web, for allowing us to use this technology to stay in touch, invisibly, revealing as much as we want, and not having to be noticed doing it. I like that anonyminity, perfect for a #3 child in my family. There is actually plenty more I am thankful for, my health, my intellect, my feelings, my reactions, my body, my thoughts and ability to observe, my family, my friends, my dreams and my past, present and future. I am thankful to have my own home now to do with as I wish, even if I don't quite have the money yet to do all that I wish, it won't stop me from dreaming the perfect place up, and getting creative as to how it will happen. I am particularly thankful for the personal vision I have of my life, that I am actually tangibly working towards, my dream of creating a non-profit writing retreat out in the desert, that will also be a family retreat and snowbird retirement home for my parents. That dream keeps me going, keeps me aware of all that I need to be working on to get from here to there. I am thankful for these dreams and others. And thank you all for coming along on the ride, vicariously, watching me get there.
